Summer Lovin’…

…happened so fast

Where has this year gone? Just seems like a week ago we were hoping winter would end. Anyway, while the sun’s been shining (it has hasn’t it?) we’ve been beavering away producing new work for NHS Lothian’s C:Card service, Scotmid’s new perfume outlet The Fragrance House and we’ve still had time to create a couple of simple sites for start-up companies.

C CardC:Card is a free condom service for Edinburgh and the Lothians with numerous outlets across the City and Region. The main focus of the site was to make finding a C:Card point as simple as possible so we came up with the idea of integrating a customised Google “MyMap” – one which C:Card could easily edit themselves whenever a new point opened, or opening hours changed. This was integrated with 45b’s bespoke CMS resulting in a very happy client and a very quick turnaround.

As a result 45b is pleased as punch to be added to NHS Lothian’s preferred suppliers list.

An hour’s training was all it took to get C:Card up to speed on their new website and content management system, and the site launched in June at a party fuelled by Cupcakes and Ribbons delicious corporate cupcakes!

The Fragrance House

Next up Scotmid came back to us looking for a simple promotional website to mark the launch of their new discount perfume outlet – “The Fragrance House”.

Initially they just wanted to show a couple of photos of the launch, featuring Miss Scotland, Stephanie Willemse, but we threw a nice “Special Offers” feature into the mix so they can use the site as a simple way of highlighting their current perfume bargains.

Currently operating in Dundee, Livingston and Glasgow, with more stores set to open across Scotland soon, the site will no doubt be expanding in the future.

My Driving SchoolFinally, new Edinburgh driving school, came to 45b looking for a quick and effective website. They were in a bit of a hurry, as their cars were off being “wrapped” with their new livery, and they were set to launch in a couple of weeks, so a “Simple Site” was suggested. Dave provided all the copy up-front, with photography following soon after. This allowed us to put together a quick site with minimum to-ing and fro-ing.

A Facebook page (with integrated homepage panel) was suggested as a simple way to promote the business, as well as helping to keep the website fresh. The site was launched on time and was very well received by the client (and the client’s clients!).

Work in progress includes a new site for Edinburgh charity Positive Help, who offer help and support for those affected by HIV/AIDS in Edinburgh; a re-design and new CMS for Braid Veterinary Hospital; and a new look for Music for Scotland. All coming soon. Watch this space…..
